Endless Summer
The Bogners love California – the nature, the people, the lifestyle. After all, this place is more than just the sum of its many parts…
Ultimately it is a feeling: “Everything is mellower, more relaxed and more laid-back," Sônia Bogner describes her love of California. “The people are easy-going and friendly - but not as if they didn't care. They simply seem to carry a bit more sun in their heart.” Probably because they really do: “It Never Rains in Southern California,” sang Albert Hammond. The lyrics were obviously meant as a cliché, but most clichés are born from a simple truth.
“Nature really pampers you here,” states Willy Bogner “ocean on one side, desert or mountains on the other. But equally important is the creative spirit here – it’s not only movies and music that come from here. A lot of the technology we use was invented right here.”
And don’t forget: California is of course a golfer’s paradise: Recently Sônia and Willy Bogner played on the courses in the San Diego area, that includes the legendary Torey Pines Golf Course – and were enthusiastic. “Ultimately it is the very simple things that make life so pleasant here,” says Sônia Bogner “sitting at the beach sipping a cappuccino, jogging along the ocean, all mellow.” It truly is more than the sum of many small parts. It is all about a feeling: The feeling of California – the endless summer.
